Spring update

This Spring has been very busy for us at Greenheart, bringing a new energy (and a few new faces) to the team, along with exciting progress across our live projects. Here’s a quick roundup of what’s been going on:

Welcome to the team

We’re delighted to welcome Sonia and Sophie to the office team; they’re already making a big difference with their energy and expertise. Also joining the office temporarily is Max, who’s been stepping into pricing duties while he recovers from a back injury. (Don’t get too comfy, Max – we want you back on site soon!)

Project highlights

Walsingham – Slow but steady
Planning is gradually progressing at our Walsingham site, with several options and biodiversity net gain (BNG) considerations under review.

Winsley Road – Tiny Passivhaus
A compact but ambitious Passivhaus project full of technical challenges and creative solutions.

Sutton Benger – Passivhaus in progress
Our new detached Passivhaus in Wiltshire is approaching the construction phase. Design is complete and certification is firmly on track, with Sonia leading the charge.

Sneed Park – New design underway
We’re working on a bold extension, remodel and energy upgrade of a detached villa-style home in Sneed Park. Early designs are shaping up well.

Cowbyre conversion – on Track
Roof and ground floor work nearly complete, with window delivery due shortly. Thanks to all who joined us at the recent Green Register event – it was a huge success!

Dowry Square – Nearing completion
This elegant double-height orangery, designed by Emmett Russell, sits to the rear of a Georgian townhouse. The finishing touches are underway.

Meadowside, Sherston – Complete
This new home replaces a tired bungalow with a high-performance timber-framed house.
Designed by MHW and built by Greenheart following a successful tender, the team proposed key structural changes to reduce cost without compromising quality.

The home features:
– Timber frame with I-beam wall studs
– Warmcel insulation and airtight OSB lining
– Cotswold stone and Brimstone Ash cladding
– Natural slate roof with 8kW integrated PV
– Ideal Combi windows and Ultraline sliders
ASHP and MVHR delivering exceptional energy performance (0.3 ach)

Built on a fixed price and delivered ahead of schedule, it’s a project we’re really proud of.

Overall it’s been a busy and productive spring, with new team members, steady progress and some fantastic projects taking shape. As we head into summer we’re especially excited to kick off celebrations for our 25th anniversary – a chance to reflect on what we’ve built together and look forward to what’s ahead.
