We’re Hiring: Project Manager

Greenheart is a Bristol based sustainable design and build company with 25 years experience, specialising in Passivhaus and sustainable construction, using low-carbon materials and technologies such as MVHR, heat pumps, PVs, Warmcel insulation and timber-frame structures. The majority of our projects are one off new-build homes – a mix of in-house and externally designed buildings. Always with a focus on quality and performance.

Since our inception in 2001, we have been motivated by the idea that a building project should and can be a constructive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. We are currently looking for a motivated, and experienced project manager, Ideally with a construction/ sustainable construction background, to join our small friendly team.

Good communication skills and a good work ethic are important, as well as an authentic interest in sustainability.

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, flexible, Permanent
Hours: 30-40 per week (subject to negotiation)
Salary: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year. Subject to agreed hours and experience

Schedule:
– Monday to Friday 9-5 (subject to negotiation)

Roles/responsibilitie:
– Costing and cost management
– Appointment/management of sub-contractors
– Scheduling, programme management
– Sourcing and ordering of materials
– Managing monthly contract valuations and providing information to inform invoicing
– Completion/Post occupancy documentation
– Management of snagging/retention
– Helping to maintain and improve systems and processes
– Client facing – maintaining strong lines of communication with Clients, neighbours on sensitive sites, designers, directors and the wider GSC team

Skills/Qualifications
– Practical experience within the building/construction/building services industries
– Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
– Familiarity with JCT Contracts
– SMSTS, NVQ and/or other construction related qualifications.
– Basic knowledge of architectural design processes/software (REVIT, SKETCHUP)
– Experience of the management of Health and Safety across multiple sites
