White Lodge is a new timber-framed family eco-home taking shape in Pershore. First introduced in our Spring/Summer Update 2026, it marks Greenheart’s first collaboration with Tom Joseph at Grain Architecture.
Grain is an ethical design practice specialising in natural, low-carbon materials. Tom’s architectural experience, carpentry training and particular interest in timber make him a natural fit for Greenheart’s practical, craft-led approach. Following a significant redesign, the project is now progressing under a negotiated contract.
Instead of conventional concrete foundations, the house is supported entirely on screw piles, with timber construction from ground level upwards. This reduces the project’s reliance on concrete and reflects Greenheart’s commitment to making careful, project-specific material choices.
We regularly share construction photographs and videos through Greenheart’s Instagram. Recent updates capture the screw-pile installation and the first timber structure rising above it.
Greenheart developed the frame design in-house and sourced the engineered structural timber from Crendon Timber Engineering. Crendon has been very helpful on White Lodge, and we hope this will be the beginning of a strong working relationship.
For clients, Greenheart brings hands-on construction knowledge into technical design, material selection and specialist-supplier coordination. This helps improve buildability, reduce uncertainty on site and keep the project’s environmental ambitions grounded in practical delivery.
White Lodge demonstrates the flexible, collaborative and design-led approach at the heart of how Greenheart works: combining our construction expertise with the skills of an external architect and trusted specialist suppliers.
